Safeguarding Children Training

Making people aware

The Society provides basic Awareness Training across the Diocese of Plymouth.

Training programmes are organized within each of the deaneries and are open to all those who have contact with children through their parish or diocesan activities.

An independent, qualified and experienced child protection trainer, Mrs Linda Naylor, delivers the training. The programme highlights current government advice and professional thinking on the safeguarding of children from harm. It also outlines the procedures that have been agreed by Bishop Christopher and the Diocesan Safeguarding Commission for use in parishes within this diocese whenever there is a concern about a child’s safety or care.

If you would like to attend one of these training events please look in the Safeguarding Children Diary to see when the next programme will be available in your area. You could also contact the Society’s office for details of future programmes by telephoning 01392 426494 or using the contact form.
